Custom CNC Machined Aluminum Adjustable Locating Bracket with Integral Serrations for Automotive Radar & Camera Sensor Calibration Mounting
Description
Product Overview
Precision CNC machined aluminum adjustable locating bracket specially developed for new energy vehicles and ADAS advanced driving assistance safety systems. It acts as dedicated calibration mounting base for vehicle millimeter-wave radar, LiDAR, surround-view camera and DMS driver monitoring sensor modules.
This part is equipped with integral positioning serrations, high-load pivot hole and standard three-hole mounting flange. The serration structure only realizes manual angle locking and positioning, not transmission gear rack for motor drive, which is the key difference from our AGS electric drive rack parts. It achieves micron-level stable angle fixing and avoids sensor offset caused by long-term vehicle vibration.
All production & inspection procedures strictly follow ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949 automotive quality management system, fully meeting the quality access standards of automobile tier 1 suppliers. Custom drawing development, size adjustment and surface treatment are all supported.

Application Scenarios
This serrated adjustable aluminum bracket is mainly designed for intelligent new energy vehicle sensor calibration, with limited extended industrial uses:
- ADAS Autonomous Driving Perception Modules (Core Application) Adjustable calibration base for millimeter-wave radar, LiDAR, surround-view camera and DMS cabin monitoring camera. The integral serrations lock sensor angle firmly against vehicle bump and vibration.
- New Energy Vehicle Electronic Cabin Parts Lightweight precision fixing bracket for internal wiring harness of power battery and electric control boxes.
- Limited Extended Industrial Use Small batch custom for low-load machine vision camera positioning brackets (Not our main business).
Important Distinction Note: This part adopts static positioning serrations only for manual angle locking. Our separate Active Grille Shutter (AGS) linkage parts use standard DIN/AGMA transmission gear rack and pinion for automatic electric drive; the two structures cannot be interchanged.
Material Analysis: Why Choose 6061-T6 Aluminum?
- Superior Strength-to-Weight Ratio Tensile strength reaches 310MPa, satisfying vehicle structural load requirements while greatly reducing component weight, matching lightweight design trend of new energy vehicles.
- Excellent Anti-Vibration & Corrosion Performance Natural aluminum oxide layer plus anodized coating resists road moisture, dust and long-duration vehicle vibration, suitable for long-term onboard working environment over 10 years.
- Outstanding High-Speed Machinability Perfect for 5-axis precision milling, ensures ultra-flat serration locking surfaces and pivot matching surfaces to maintain consistent sensor calibration accuracy.
- Diversified Wear-Resistant Surface Solutions Hard Type III anodizing is the preferred vehicle-grade treatment to enhance scratch and abrasion resistance for long service life.
Precision & Tolerance Capability
For ADAS safety sensors, angular deviation as tiny as 0.1° will trigger driving safety risks. Our strict micron-level tolerance control eliminates positioning deviation:
- Serrations Pitch Precision Positioning tooth pitch controlled within ±0.005mm, realizing seamless clamping without sliding during vehicle operation.
- Pivot Hole Concentricity High-precision boring process ensures zero shake during sensor rotational calibration.
- Mounting Flange Flatness Three-hole assembly flange flatness strictly controlled below 0.02mm, preventing bolt preload loss caused by uneven contact.
Manufacturing Challenges & Our Solutions
- Deformation Control of Thin Overhanging L-Serrated Edge The bottom thin L-shaped serration guide flange is prone to milling warpage. Solution: Stress relief heat treatment for aluminum blanks before finishing, plus adaptive CNC toolpath and high-pressure large-flow coolant to stabilize dimensional accuracy.
- Integrated Processing of Cavity + Serrated Features The part contains deep central cavity and integral positioning teeth. Solution: One-time clamping 5-axis simultaneous milling, eliminates secondary re-clamping positioning error.
- Unified Datum for All Mounting Holes Three assembly holes require fixed standard pitch matching automobile frame. Solution: Take precision pivot hole as zero datum, process on high-rigidity 4/5-axis milling centers to guarantee hole spacing consistency.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: Can you provide automotive prototype samples for ADAS sensor brackets? A: Yes, we support 1pc small-batch rapid CNC prototyping, deliver full official CMM inspection report for automobile drawing verification before mass production. Free 24-hour DFM manufacturability review is provided with all drawing submissions.
Q2: Which surface finish meets vehicle long-life standard?
